Homemade Pizza with Miam
The Dinner-done One
Ingredients
Simple Pizza Dough
500g 00 flour (can use bread or plain flour instead)
7g yeast
5g salt
2 tbsp olive oil
300-350ml warm water
There are endless topping ideas with Miam, and I'm a fan of using up leftovers in the fridge, but a few of my favourites are:
The Dinner-done One with chargrilled peppers, mushrooms, mozarella and spinach (pictured)
The Moreish One with cherry tomatoes , ricotta and kale
The Versatile One with potato and capers
The Extra One with mushrooms, chard and stilton
Method
Mix everything together with enough water to form a tacky dough.
Knead for 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic (if you have a food processor with a dough hook, mix for 5 minutes).
Lightly grease a bowl with oil and put the dough in. Cover and leave to double in size (about 1-2 hours).
When you're ready to make the pizzas, preheat the oven to 220C with a pizza stone (or oven tray) inside.
Divide the dough into two balls.
Option 1: Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and place on baking paper. Cover with your desired topping and cook for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
Option 2: if you want to shape the dough to have a raised crust as pictured, I hand stretch the dough. (There's lots of good videos on Youtube to show how to do this better than I can explain in writing!)
